Rescue mission

Rescue Ship has its first mission. Tell me what you think!

At last, Rescue Ship can really be called a game. The first mission is ready to be played. New graphics and other details that are missing are to be added.

Move with WASD. Press space for speed boost or turning when in a rescue operation. Find the victim with the search light, move close and click it to initiate the rescue. When the victim is safely aboard press "DONE" to go back to base. Mind the winds though, if the ship moves while reeling in the victim it will fall down again. Compensate by timing movement keys correctly.

Re: Rescue mission

What makes it confusing? You need to be slow with the searchlight. And when you find the victim it needs to be fully lit and close before you can initiate the operation. You also need to keep the light on the victim during the pickup. The victim is not far away, just, uh, oops, NorthWest of the starting point. Sorry, I just realized that I actually mixed up East and West. If you go Northwest, instead of Northeast like the game says, you are more likely to find the victim...

When I have made more islands instead of the placeholders there will be map with island names that you can conjure by pressing M or something. And the mission instructions will be something like "Victim near island Blahonga". If it doesn't degrade performance I will have a marker on the map to show where you are and a rough marker where the victim(s) are reported to be.

I also plan to add a timer. And the mission description will be something like "Victim in water, pick it up before it gets hypothermia!" And the clock starts ticking.  smile
