I thought most of the bosses at the end of every level in Super Contra were fairly easy.

I cant really judge, but I have some bosses I have personal vendettas against:


Boolossus from Luigi's Mansion (would've been a better final boss due to difficulty)
Gill from Street Fighter 3 (RESURRECTION! RESURRECTION! RESURRECTION!)
Shao Kahn in any game he's final boss in (as if the game's AI wasn't cheap enough)
Any boss with SNK Boss Syndrome (SBS is serious buisness)
God Rugal in Capcom vs. SNK 2 (thank Cap for giving a boss with SBS Akuma's moves)


Mind you these aren't bad fights. They're just incredibly tough (and in the case of SBS, broken and cheap).


But I'm pretty sure that we can all agree that Liquid Ocelot in Metal Gear Solid 4 was one of the greatest final bosses of all time. If you've played through the whole rest of the series beforehand, you'll know what I mean. Best finale ever.


On a side note, you might notice that most of my vendettas come from the fighting genre. That's because most bosses in that genre are ridiculously tough. SBS makes you want to eat a gerbil.

BAD
Feral Chaos, Dissidia Duodecim If you've played the game, you know.
Most bosses from Final Fantasy IV, seriously the cheapness levels just rise painfully as you play.
Every single fight ever from World of Warcraft Cataclysm Heroic is a painfully hard That One Boss.
Every single one.
For example, the almost-forgettable second-to-last boss in Grim Batol (I DON"T EVEN KNOW THE GUYS NAME.) is transformed into a nightmare in Heroic. He can summon an add which can literally kill you in one hit. If you group together with your team, whoops every single party member just died and you have to start all over again.
Also Demyx.

For good bosses, all of the bosses from Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Even it's minibosses are cool and unique, and each boss exemplifies the themes of each dungeon.

The best boss fight ever (in my opinion) is the Robo-Geisha (Izayoi) from Dynamite Headdy (Japanese Version). The entire fight is like a final boss, but it's not. It's really hard, it has a very intense boss theme, it's one of the few occasions where you get the trap head that makes you slow, and if you attack at the wrong hit-point you loose health. To bad that in the US version it's just a generic robot.
