I would like to be a curator if possible. I believe I would represent the artistic and creative side of scratch. If chosen I would choose awesome art and creative original projects that people have put a lot of effort into. Projects that deserved to be viewed aren't getting as much attention as hey should. I would show people the projects that were meant tobe seen. Projects I would choose could also be really cool physics based games or demonstrations. Thank you for your time.

Hello, I'm PokemonGardevoir and I think it would be fun to be a Curator. I've been a member of Scratch since 2009 and began using it in 2007, and I also help out with the SDS when I'm free.
I think that the curator is really important in the community- It's like the Featured selection, but maybe even more important because its selected by the community for the community, instead of by the admins. I'm not saying Featured is bad or anything, I've been featured myself and it was a big honor! But the curator is special because its an opportunity for both the scratchers being featured and the scratcher doing the featuring- It's a win-win situation!
I would try and curate projects that make learning fun, like trivia games, for example. I would also curate games, animation and simulations that have really good graphics or unique programming. 1s1s really amazes me! I'd also go for other unique twists on games, whether it be in gameplay, or script! I would try to avoid pen and fractal projects, but If I see one that stands out to me I'd curate that!
Here are some examples of projects that I like! Note that these examples are well-known ones, I'd try to curate projects with less views, and with a user who hasn't been frontpaged in a few months similar to the Featured slots!

I would like to be a curator because i know loads of people with great ideas and are amazing at using scratch, but no one knows about them and no one plays their games because they aren't popular. I would like to become a curator so that i can show the world their amazing stuff and make them happy. I think this will benefit them and other people by making their projects known.
I would also like to help people by doing a weekly ideas animation to put on the home age to give other people ideas for what to do and give them something to do, this would also contain a competition and every week, the winner will get to go on the front page!

Can I become the curator? My main interest in Scratch is about programming and remixing. There really isn't anything to remix, but I like fixing bugs How do you make a question of curators? I don't know what that means...

Scratch Team,
I believe curating is one of the most important aspects of scratch. Without it, there would be no way for the community to display what they (we) think. This is an amazing idea and I hope you keep it as a part of scratch.
Hi, I am mmww, and I would like to apply to be a curator. I have been banned, but I believe I have learned from that. (Thank you so much for unbanning me) My favorite kind of projects? Hmmmm..... I love all projects! But my favorites are probably projects that use scratch to the full extent of its abilities. For example: Mesh or 3D projects. I'm always sad when I find an amazing program that has next to no views. I have always desired the ability to show off their talent! If we could do that, all of the never-heard-of amazing scratchers could thrive!
I also believe even the best curator makes a few mistakes along the way, I acknowledge I will too if you select me. But I will try my hardest to minimize them
Sincerely,
mmww

The reason i'm here is because I want to be curator. I know alot of awesome projects that are not famous and have like 20 views. If the project has alot of views, your chances are lower. When you ask about getting curated and give the link, I will tell you the chances (Gameplay:_/100 and Graphics:_/100 and Appropriate:yes or no (if it's no, your chances are zero) Overall chance:_/100). I do not care what kind of project it is as long as it's appropriate and fun. That is if i'm curator. Scratch on! -MEOWCAT34.

Super short. And why should you be a curator? Why would you pick those things?

I would like to apply, as i have done a few times before. I have recently become a bit more involved in Scratch, as of lately i have been busy in other things. But i am prepared to become more involved again. I have been an active member of the scratch community for about 4, to 5 years. I have appeared on the scratch front page occasionally, and i consider myself to be a fairly advanced programmer. I also teach scratch at my job, at Techplayzone. I am friends with numerous scratchers, and i have gotten to know many scratchers. I have, in the past tried to get unknown, well deserving projects more views with a "newspaper" and only slightly succeeded, and i would like the opportunity to try and give these projects a better chance at having some fame.

What do you mean by fun? Why should you be curator? What kinds of graphics and sounds? Do you have any examples?

if I was chosen as a scratcher would put projects on the subject add yourself that I think is important and fun that each insert in each of these projects to their own character dealing with the issue.
I hope you choose to look forward

1) You have to be a Scratcher with the account you are applying for.
2) I think you mean "curator", not the text in red.

Hi scratch team. I would like to be curator for Scratch the website. I believe that curators do more than make someone famous, I believe curators try to make a point and try to recognize projects. If I'm curated I will curate projects that were really thought about. Probably projects by a collaboration.
I don't think collaborations get enough credit. I think they should be recognized as a group and team. Collaborations have a huge growing space and a lot of potential. I'm a part of several collaborations like Rocket Investments where we focus on other scratcher growth. I would be great if someone curates some collaboration projects. I would curate projects like that.
Like anyone would say I would curate unique projects. I would curate projects that are well thought out and are clever. Some that have a unique effect. Whether it is a great classic arcade game or a really good calculator.
When I usually look at the front page and I see cool platformers which is great. I personally like technology and science. I would curate some big breakthroughs that have great advanced programs. Although I don't program those myself I think more people need to see that.
Scratch is really fun. It would be great if I'm curator. I would mainly curate collaboration projects and advanced breakthroughs. I would not curate any "famous" people because there is no point. But I will curate them if it is really good. I would really focus on finding those projects that don't get noticed. If someone is famous and they make a spectacular project people would see it any way. I see the front page as something that expands interests of the scratch community.
My company, Rocket Investments gives and supports collaborations by giving them a progress report filled with compliments and advice and constructive criticism and making logos and advertisements. If I was curator I would thoroughly look through the project and give them advice and compliments just like me customers. I would give them advice through paragraphs along (like this) along with a side-by-side grading system out of 10.
I really enjoy working with people on scratch. Although I know there are many applicants for this job I think I would be great. I will be diverse and un-biased. Thanks and Scratch On!

I want to be curator, There are some people who make projects and nobody see's them. *I myself seen tons of stuff That has no views. Example: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/toastythecat/2885249
I will curate projects that are under 150 views max.
I will not allow:
-filler projects (like, BANANA or somthing)
-Coloring contest entries
-projects by an inactive scratcher
-projects with over 150 views
-updates
i WILL curate:
-great games
-well done animations
-Projects with less than 150 views
-good tests (not like, performance test or anything
Sorry if it's too long.

Hi I am Monkey222. I would like, NO love to be a curator. I check Scratch often and it would be a honor to be a higher scratcher that I already am. I like games with that sense of creativeness. Those games that make you walk in circles at home thinking about how you are going to do this. ----> http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/FaceOs/2399118
