I certainly don't expect a happy ending.

By the way, I thought 1984 was just absolutely awesome. Seriously, it's one of the best books I've ever read. Yeah, even though I'm actually pretty young to be reading it. Yes, it does have mature themes and a dark storyline. But it's still great. Everyone should read it.

Also, it has the happiest ending to a book ever.[/sarcasm]

Why not start with what i'm currently reading?
I'm reading Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury and i must say it's one of the most beautiful books i've read in a long time.
I'm also reading Batman; Knightfall and it's splendid. It really lives up to it's name.
Actually you know what no it didn't really
the first half was good
then it started decreasing in quality
Okay next is EVERY OTHER WONDERFUL BOOK.
Uh War of the Worlds by H.G Wells was absolutely beautiful. Horrifyingly amazing :>
The Valley of Fear by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was cool
The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings were elaborate and coolio
The Hunger Games was good, but could have been more
Roald Dahl is a brilliant author and i liked everything i've read by him
Same with Theodore Geisel
The Giver was great
and i don't remember any others at the moment

Some of the books I'd recommend reading besides the series I'm reading above:

Percy Jackson and the Olympians (actually, all of Rick Riordan's writings for kids)
Little Britches
The Phantom Tollbooth (maybe for ages 8-13)
The Warriors series (about ages 9-14 will loike these books)
The Hunger Games trilogy
Legend (recommended for 13 years and up even though it says for like 14 & up)
The Jack Blank series (ages 10-14)
The Secrets of Droon (also for ages 8-11 or 12)
Extra Credit

heck, I could go on forever but why bother? I mean i've got about 200 books ni my collection and about half of them i've never read before. I even have a few that'll be 100 years old in about half a dozen years i think. But surprisingly i don't have the lord of the rings trilogy.

PS. I have about 200  books cause I sort of got banned from using Kindles when i accidentally broke my sister's and gave mine to her.... not a good story, but i didn't really like it the way she did (she read the Hunger Games trilogy 6 times!!!!!)

PPS. I get carsick if i read in the car, a big disadvantage when you're a big book collector like me

Animal Farm (a good read but i sorta hate the pigs, they're EVIL!!!)

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (for the second time, i think i finished the first two books within a month this time)

The Chronicles of Narnia book 6 (because it got pretty darn boring)
