According to the wiki, the maximum amount of items used for a firework star is 3. Sorry about that.

Wrong. My house is filled with cheated blocks (though to be fair I made it all in cobble first and then replaced it with wool for aesthetic reasons. And I love my house (well, Hobbit-hole).

Once you make a firework star, you can surround it with colors again, to add more.

fire like a ton of fireworks with a long fuse into a cobweb. after they exploded, break the cobweb. Voila.

I'm looking forward to all the redstone updates! There will be capacitors that only trigger at a customizable signal strength, and pressure plates and suchlike will give different strength outputs depending on what's on them, including the number of items in a minecart chest! There's also a light detector block planned

Any tips for getting from high places to low places in the nether, dealing with ghasts who simply refuse to die, and clearing (fighting the mobs in- mainly blazes and wither skeletons) nether fortresses? I can almost taste the blaze rod... so close... yet so far away... :F

Fixed. But thanks... I never thought of that. But after I posted I realized that I could just use gravel or sand. To take out the blaze I'll bring snowballs, and I can dodge the giant ghast monstrosity's FIARBALLZ!!!!1!ELEVEN!!!!1!!! (Skylanders reference ) pretty easily.

19 snowballs and a punch, or 14 and a iron/diamond sword.
You have to kill it with a bow or sword else you dont get the rod.

An improved digital clock!
A night-time alarm!
An automatic concert hall!
An XXX club with night-time only doors!
I can't wait for the Redstone update!

*eyetwitch* This is just so gosh darn hard with the wither skeletons prowling about and ambushing you! Were Nether Fortresses easier before 1.4? This is my first one in survival...
EDIT: K, I'm about to ragequit. I accidentally hit a pigman with my snowballs, see...

Pillar up 4 blocks then snipe them.

For me at least, a bow with like 20 arrows, an iron sword, and a whole lot of running can usually bring back a few blaze rods.

What, the pigmen? No, I was fighting blazes in a fortress that was crawling with the porcine entities. Net result= Loss of a full suit of iron armor and a diamond sword. What's worse? The little bugger stole my battle suit!
