Drop In Projects

Why were there less projects in November than for a long time?

At one point, the server was down for several hours, and at another point, uploading was broken for a few more hours.

Projects in October: 56,804
Projects in November: 22,423

Less than half. Why? It can't just be down to the servers and Hurricane Sandy.

Something very odd has happened. Yesterday the November project count was 22,423. Now it is nearly 80,000. How?

must be lag in updating. they dont update it all the time
