A small notice to let you all know that I'm going to try my hand at making perfume. I'm probably going to sell them on eBay, but donations (a site which might be up later) would probably help... but no, I'm not going to bum for money. Any scent suggestions would also help. My first one I'm going to try is vanilla rose, with perhaps a basil drop or two. Just ideas. Thanks! :3

Don't forget to add the whale vomit and skunk spray.
(Seriously...many high quality perfumes have those)

How about something fruity? Kiwi and orange make a nice scent.

I wasn't able to get rose and vanilla essential oils, sadly, but I'm trying some citrus first! If I can find some kiwi extract I'll be happy to try that! It sounds really good. :3

I don't think this counts, but I've been putting all of the perfume samples that I get in magazines in a bag and adding other scents to them. It doesn't smell half bad :3

I'd be happy to provide ideas.
I notice you live in the US, to help me come up with ideas, can you tell me approximately where? I don't need a specific state if you aren't comfortable, just say northern or southern or coastal for example. And state if you live in an urban/suburban/rural area. This will help me come up with common plants you could use in your scents, because I want my ideas to be applicable to you.
All I can say right now is make sure you are growing your own plants, buying the ingredients yourself or using wild plants - don't steal from others property! That is theft, and its even worse since you would be selling it. Anyways, I'm sure you knew that already.

Get some rosemary and put it in a small glass container of water. Leave it in until opening the bottle makes your parents complain. Sell.
Whenever I go to department stores, I go to the perfume section and get one of those strips of paper you're supposed to put perfume on, then put on every perfume I can get on it. The great part about this plan is that you can leave the now painful to the nose strip in men's clothing!
