Might be a bit late, but I answered it.

I'm in the group that considers that the Internet has made me less social. Expressing oneself by writing is so much easier. If you believe you aren't expressing yourself with the right words, you simply erase what you're writing and rephrase it. I've done so many times typing this post. 

Interacting with people over the Internet is quite weird, too. I'm behind a monitor and a bunch of proxy servers that connect me to the Web, so I don't have to think about the consequences my actions will have as much as when interacting in person. Even more so when I'm interacting with someone I don't know IRL. I believe this, in particular, is what has weakened my "in-person" social abilities - I rely way too much in this quirk of chatting over the Internet.
