What's this difference? I have NO idea 

It'll shoot further if the signal is stronger.

Then I definitely can't wait until RedPower is released for 1.4.4/1.5 - I need the really long redstone trails. Also I can use 16 colours for the cables..

3. Use the gate as a door.
4. Hold a bundle of wheat near a cow/sheep. It will follow you to wherever you go. Just don't go too far.

6. Once you have as many cows/sheep as you like, at least 2, right-click on each cow/sheep with a bundle of wheat. This will produce a baby cow/sheep.

Go to the nether. Craft TNT. Go boating. Go fishing. Build a second story on your house. Go mining. Recreate the internet with redstone. Tame wolves. Search for a village. Conquer a temple. Brew potions. Slay the wither on hard difficulty with no armor. Make a cake. Craft stone bricks. Throw eggs. Build snow golems. Build iron golems. Save a village from the zombie apocalypse. Capture hostile mobs and put them on display.
