I play 1.2.5 because of all the lag I get with the merging of SP and MP, so no trading for me. I mined it all by hand. I had a video of how I did that (including me mining it) but I lost the file in the dark recesses of my.. *dun dun dun* Downloads folder. I didn't use the redstone bug, because I totally forgot about it. I found a one block deep lava pool (sort of rare) near my house, so I used a water bucket and mined it out.

I did that on like 5 lava pools on a server my friend owns, nearly a stack per

Where does it say survival? It's actually pretty easy to find too. Just pour water on a lava lake.
Or put redstone in a cobble generator.

I can't wait until RedPower2 comes out for 1.4! I mean, everything in RedPower just feels 'right' for Minecraft - All of the blocks have a use - except Tungsten - but the best thing is, is the beautiful structures you can build with the Microblocks in RedPower!

I got it a few hours ago...
It takes a bit getting used to... I couldn't find coal, so I couldn't craft torches; I was stuck finding lava and building a small protective wall for the skeletons. http://i45.tinypic.com/193ubt.png

Make some charcoal from wooden logs, not planks, in a furnace. Use planks as fuel. The lit furnace is also a light source.

This was the picture you posted Gravitation. New Scratchers can't post images so I posted it for you.

I'm pretty sure the SP/MP merge has no effect unless you use LAN.

Really?
I was watching a LP, and they got more lag than usual. They even said they hated all the lag they got from the new update.
Maybe Jeb_ fixed all of the lag?
Well, I'm buying minecraft today (I would have updated, just find a torrent on pirate bay, which I don't use at all, by the way) so I can join my friend's server and a few servers on PMC.

I tried playing Village Defense but I failed.
Basically, you play on Survival and have nothing but a Diamond Sword. Play on Hard difficulty and at night, try and kill all the zombies and save all the villagers. It helps if you count how many live in the village first though. My record is 1.

One villager was left after the sun rose and the zombies died.

I just started playing survival on Normal. How do you guys do it without throwing your computer out the window? Me? I play in the basement.
But honestly, it took me a good three runs to extract all the iron from that ravine. >:U

I play hardcore. Even that's too easy.
I have a ultra hardcore mod. No health regen, golden apples are crafted with ingots, etc.
If you want to see it in action, search Mindcrack Ultra Hardcore.

Hey guys, back for another REDSTONE UPDATE!!!
Well, the rumor is, redstone will be based on "strength" instead of on/off. How do you feel about this. I guess it might be interesting, but might get a little complicated and will break everything Stevekind has built, up to the diamond age.

Er, it might just be me but I've noticed a huge difference between shooting a dispenser with weak redstone and shooting one with strong redstone, and this was in 1.3
