Re: veggieman's music

that's from last.fm
most of those are plays by me though except the top 3 which are from e6 comps so more listeners who'd scrobble

Yes.
I actually got it from tothebestof.com though, which really just organizes the information in a different way.

@obfuscate: No. Anyone can listen to the music from any source, and if they have last.fm, it collects the information, I believe.

Re: veggieman's music

it takes all the scrobbles of people
so if you have the scrobbler it'll scrobble like wmp and winamp and itunes and foobar
and some programs just have things where you log in and it scrobbles like spotify and vlc
and there's a cool chrome/ium/safari plugin called scroblr that scrobbles from a bunch of sites, including bandcamp.

Well, it collects from media players and devices.

last.fm FAQ wrote:

Our Windows client officially works with the following media players:

Winamp, version 5.5x
Windows Media Player, versions 9, 10, 11
iTunes, 7 and 8
Foobar2000, versions 0.9.2, 0.9.4, 0.9.5

These plugins are downloaded and installed automatically via the client; simply go to the menu Tools > Get Plugin... and follow the instructions in the setup wizard.

Our Mac client works with iTunes. There are no media player plugins for the Linux client.

Re: veggieman's music

so what you're saying is, if you have them on any of those sources, they go onto last.fm
so how would you get to them other than through last.fm?
or are you saying if veggie uploads a song to foobar it goes on his last.fm site for everyone to listen to?

Re: veggieman's music

no
if someone listens to the song on foobar2000, it makes a page for that song with info about its length and a wiki page anyone can edit
but it doesnt upload the song
and it submits the play data

that seems like it would take a lot of servers to keep all that data !

I will!
I do really need to clear up this cold though because most of the songs do just need vocals.

Re: veggieman's music

I was running low on money, and since it says no minimum, I put in $-1,000,000 but then it said there was a minimum of $0.00. You liar! Give me my $1,000,000!
