Tallstar sat atop the HighRock. He had to stop Owlstar and the MidnightClan rebels who wanted to bring Shadowstar down; ever since Shadowstar had met Frostbite, he had gotten soft. soon,he would take control.

Rosewing entered the SunClan camp (if there is one yet). Noblestep followed close behind his daughter. "Owlfeather-I mean-Owlstar?" Rosewing called out. "me and my father want to join your Clan."

Owlstar looked up to the mountains, where the first rays of dawn were faintly glowing. He sighed and breathed in the morning air, feeling the freshness throughout his whole body. Owlstar was thinking about Tallscar. All he wanted now was to keep his clan safe and happy, and he would forget about Tallstar if he kept quiet. But Owlstar knew that he wouldn't just stop on this... *He will try to take over SunClan...* he thought, and remembered his dream. Sounds of battle... Shadowstar will try to take over.

Rosewing spotted the hardy tom absorbed in his own thoughts. "Owlstar!" she ran over to him. "We can no longer take Tallstar! He only cares about power!" she wailed.

Owlstar turned to the voice behind him. He leaped off Highrock and stood facing the two cats. "Hello," he greeted them, "Of course, you can join. We need more cats..." he sighed. "Shadowstar's army is strong... And I know he will try to take down SunClan. Please make yourself at home." He nodded, and was about to go, but turned around and asked, "By the way... Any news about Tallstar and DarkClan?"

Noblestep frowned. "Well...Tallstar will be mentoring one of Shadowstar's kits when he comes of age...that won't be good. more and more cats are turning into the evil cats that Shadowstar is brainwashing them to be! It's not right!" he hissed, kneading his claws into the ground, ripping up grass.

"They all believe that Shadowstar is doing the right thing..." Owlstar glanced at Rosewing and sighed. "It will be hard to defeat him, with so many followers he has." He turned away from the cats. "Why don't we... go hunting?" he said without turning his head. He felt that behind him was something he shouldn't look at... something threatening, which he could not resist, yet he did not know what it was. And he feared it.

Rosewing pirked up a bit. "yeah. let's get our minds off of Shadowstar and Tallstar alltogether." Rosewing meowed confidently, trying to raise spirits. Noblestep looked down at his paws. He hated to see the forest in such a state. he yearned for a time when the worst to be feared was a border skirmish.

Owlstar leaped into the thicket of the forest. He immeadiately spotted a robin on the ground, pecking at bugs. Owlstar pressed himself to the ground, creeping silentyl towards the bird. He pounced on it as a flash of lightning, covering it with his paws, and quickly killed it with a bite. He buried the fresh kill under the leaves and moved on. The dreaded feeling was gone now, but he still feared to turn to the cats behind him.

Rosewing scented the air. She went ahead of Owlstar and started sniffing at a bramble bush. A rabbit was sleeping inside- this would be too easy! she crept under, keeping her back flat and belly to the ground. she was halfway in when the rabbit woke and ran- she tried to backup but thorns snagged her pelt, tangling her. "help me out of here!" she shouted. Noblestep purred with amusement.

Rosewing grunted. "well I'm going nowhere soon," she hissed, her fur tangled in brambles. Noblestep chuckled. "I'll go, I know the scape of DarkClan really well." he offered. he nodded once and bounded off, out of sight.

Owlstar instinctively pounced forward to pursue the rabbit, but the next moment froze into place as he saw Rosewing tangled in the thorns. He forgot all about the rabbit and dashed to her. "Are you.. are you ok?? Don't move," he said, and tried to bite throught the thorns, but they pierced his tongue. He thought for a moment, then snatched the thorns with his claws and ripped through them, helping Rosewing out. His paws were wounded, but he didn't notice the pain. He was looking at Rosewing, and couldn't let out a word. He could feel his heart pounding, and couldn't stop it. *What's happening to me?* he questioned himself, stepping back as if Rosewing was about to attack him.
