I would recommend having the Mac path as ~/Library/Application Support/M30W or something

didn't try on windows yet, not sure how it would work with scripts there...
@MrFlash, could you try pip on Macs? You should be able to run it afterwards using M30W from a terminal.

You can install pip/setuptools on Windows, but it's a little tricky, and you have to manually add it to your PATH to get it to run from the command line correctly.

What is the Windows bug? I am going to be using Windows for a bit now, so I can do some testing. 

Two important features landed yesterday in the trunk - "save and open in scratch" and "reload" 

pip version will come next week when I finish editors reloading.
