i need help making links

whenever i post a link on a project it says (link to project) but whenever i post a link on a forums it doesn't do anything

example: http://scratch.mit.edu/galleries/view/172521

am i doing something wrong, if so please help me i would really appreciate it.

New Scratchers cannot create links or embed images. Just be patient, and keep Scratchin' until you become a Scratcher! Scratchers can create links using the following tags:

i mean i can't link to projects on forums but when i link to project on other projects (through comments) it works fine
