At first, C.S. Lewis was an Atheist, but then he started going to a writing group WITH Tolkien! Yah, Lewis and Tolkien where friends!

Undoubtedly, Tolkien was a masterful writer, but I prefer C.S. Lewis, mainly because of the Space Trilogy.

i don't think being christian has anything to do with how well they write
in fact saying that is xenophobic and racist

I want to read these some day. What reading level are they?
They shouldn't be too hard for you. There are some rather heavy philosophical concepts in there, but it shouldn't be an issue.

I don't know how that can be racist, but Tolkien and Lewis's Writings alike where both majerly affected by cristianity. I won't go in to detail because you're not supposed to talk about religion, but who do you think Gandalf or Aslan are?

im not saying that it's terrible to be affected by christianity
i'm saying that implying that christian writers are the best and 'win' is xenophobic, and as many religions are mostly compromised of a non white ethnic group it's racist

So is it racist to talk about Matt Smith because many people are non-white?

I'm not saying cristian writers are the best in general, I'm saying that in my opinion JRR Tolkien and C.S. Lewis Where two of the best. I have nothing against other religions, or races. Also, this is a topic about who likes which one better and why.

That's what I was pointing out with the," Who do you think Gandalf or Aslan are?" thing. Extremely parallel with the Bible, which is ok by me. Back on topic though. I personally like Tolkien better because of how he writes. Tourdes the end of the Lord of the Rings, It was so dark to read, and when it ended A. It felt like weigts had just been lifted off your shoulders B. It had been so long since I first started to read it that I was ready to read it again C. Wished It wouldn't end.

I haven't read any C.S. Lewis, so my vote is going to Tolkien!
