Hi. I am now taking requests to make people 2D physics engines for their games. I can make fast perfect collision detection engines, even with both X and Y scrolling.
If you would like an engine made for you, please fill out this form:
Game The Engine is For: name of the game
About the Game: a short description about your game
Sprites That Will Use the Engine: what sprite(s) will the engine be for
Sprite Shape: is the sprite a square, a person, or a rolling ball etc.
Scrolling: is there x scrolling or y scrolling in the game?
Physics: what kind of engine you want e.g. jump height, whether you can run in air or not, running speed...
If possible, a link to a project containing an example of a level in the game would be useful.
I will make your physics engine for free, and it will be done within a few days depending on how complex it is and how many people are on the waiting list. You do not have to give me much credit.
Waiting List:
darkfury - Unnamed Game
Ideas - A Car Game
Explanation of Scrolling:
I don't think a lot of people exactly quite understand what I mean by "scrolling". It doesn't mean whether the sprite can move around the screen or not (obviously it can) but it means is the background scrolling. E.g. in the Super Mario Bros game, Mario stays in the center of the screen while the background scrolls left and right, meaning it has X scrolling. But when Mario jumps he actually jumps and the background doesn't move. This means it have no Y scrolling.

Oh, thank Primus I found this! I am going to be working on a Transformers game (surprise, surprise!) soon, and I am terrible at games, particularly the physics engine. Here is the application:
1. Rise of the Decepticons
2. It is a game where you pick your affiliation, build your robot, and earn achievements as you battle the opposite affiliation.
3. Transformers
4. More of a person.
5. Both? Not quite sure... I'm sure you know what I mean.
6. 10 y, with double jump, yoy cannot run in air, but you can change direction, and running speed would be moderate unless you get a speed boost.
Thanks!

Ok, I'll get working on it.

Perfect! Thank you so much! Very fast, and I couldn't have done it myself! Naturally, credit will be given in the final project.

Just curious, would you like to be in my shop directory? If yes, then what do you want said below your shop's banner?

That would be great. I would want "Free Professional Platformer Engines" said under the banner, but I don't really have a banner. Do I need one?, because I can make one if you want.

Oh… I just realized you don't have one. Anyway, the banner is optional. If you want one, then make one and I'll add it.

I could help. I am pretty good with engines.

Ok, I think I'll go without one for now. Thanks btw.

Uh... I don't have that much experience but sure
I don't need it yet, and I might not need it at all but I asked just in case I will.

Game The Engine is For: none yet
About the Game: a space game that scrolls in all directions. i also would like if the angles could be adjusted manually
Sprites That Will Use the Engine: ships
Sprite Shape: rectengular
Scrolling: both
Physics: displacement, kinematics
Offline
A game in progress
a car+5 ramp platforms
basic car from templates, [it wil look like this together ( \/\/\ )] {rams fill half the screen}
scroll x + yv + turn vel.(let car turn so that wheels are on ground
thanx

Right, I'll get working on both games. I'll do darkfury first because he asked first

Ok, nearly done the space game engine, darkfury, I just need to know whether you want
Newtonian physics
- how it is in real life, where it doesn't have air friction and when you turn the ship it keeps going the direction it was previously going.
or
Arcade physics
- As if the ship was a plane, where it slows down by itself, and you can brake quickly and when you turn it changes its velocity.
In the mean time I'll get working on Idea's engine.

Game The Engine is For: Scroll Biker
About the Game: A Scrolling game where you are a bike
Sprites That Will Use the Engine: A Bike
Sprite Shape: Well, a bike inst really a shape
Scrolling: X Scrolling
Physics: Velocity Engine and also the bikes wheels are separate in the way that they move independently and climb hills independently

Hi I need an engine for a game I'm making right now.
1. weaponFire
2. Platformer/shooter hybrid. You play as a stickfigure trying to kill as many enemies as possible on each of the levels.
3. All sprites (player and enemies will use the engine).
4. Sprite shape: player is a stickfigure
5. I think it is both x and y scrolling because I want the player and enemies to be able to jump and climb up stuff.
6. Physics: velocity engine, and could you make realistic gun and blood effects (if you cant I can ro it by myself).
