US vs. UK English
Hi, I don't know if it's possible to do anything about this now given that you're so far along with Scratch 2.0, but is it possible to create a 'UK English' version? Or even just a notice on the download page?
I just know some of the children I'm working with are going to adopt the US spellings of words such as 'color' (we spell it 'colour' this side of the Atlantic). When their regular teacher (or parent/guardian) calls them on it they'll be able to say 'that's the way it's spelled in Scratch, so it must be right!'. And how popular will I be then?? :-)

I use British English, but US English doesn't really matter to me. Few blocks are affected by the US English anyway.

Yes, you can edit the program's language files to your liking.

What if each person has his/her own copy of Scratch? Then I suppose you have to copy the modified one to all of the un-modified ones, is that right?

They may be correct, but you still learn to spell it one way, and if you see it written one way somewhere, and another way in another place, it could get confusing.
A general "language" option would probably be good, but long to implement

actually there already is a language option, click the globe thing next to the scratch logo
