Its pretty useless. Nobody really goes there anyway.

We're planning to revamp it in the future.

This is true.

I believe it's being at least partially moved over to the Scratch Wiki, a project which is in progress.

Yeah. The FAQ forum should be deleted cause the wiki has a talkgroup etc.
Well, the main problem with that is that not every one has or can have a wiki account. That is especially true of new users, who are generally denied from the wiki but may have the most imperative questions. There does need to be some form of universal discussion, but I don't know what that'll be.

Make the wiki user automatically signed up as a scratch user. Or reverse.

It's not like that because the ST doesn't want people who don't know much about Scratch to be able to edit the Wiki.

Don't support.
The FAQ forum is accessible by all users, not just wiki contributors, helps many in trouble, and doesn't provide a significant drag on the server or clutter to the forums.

We're in the process of moving it to wiki.scratch.mit.edu/wiki/Frequently_Asked_Questions. I believe their will be a sticky in QAS about it, where people can discuss the FAQ in general, and people can create their own topics if they have specific questions.
But it's not very well defined yet.
