The on-click events happening automagically is a creepy one - can you link to an example project, or better yet, make the simplest one possible that demos the bug?

On my Crazy 8's game, every time you play an 8, a box comes up asking you to click on a suit.  In player v185, it was auto clicking a suit for you and not giving you a chance to do it yourself.

I'm glad you rolled back to v183!

I *think* we may have  fix for that in the pipeline, so when we release the next version, can you try it out again to see if it still happens?

Re: Report glitches in the Flash project player here!

ok, v 187 pushed.

This one:
  - removes apparently expensive calls to updateAfterEvent() except for mouseDown
  - removes problematic "approximate equality test" code
  - changes the sprite x/y position and direction reporters to "snap" to an integer value if within 1e-9
  - say and think bubbles now round numbers whose absolute value is >= 0.01 to show only two digits after the decimal point. Smaller numbers show full precision.

Hmm, that is a weird one. Wish I knew if it was introduced in 187 or earlier.
We should file it though.

The reason this isn't working online is that the costume for the monster is corrupt somehow. Notice that it shows a size of only 4x4 pixels - which is clearly wrong. I replaced the costume with a different one, imported from the Fantasy folder, and it then worked fine.

It still happens.

P.S. Try clicking full screen while a project loads.

It's a weird one.

The costume list for the monster sprites seems to be incorrect, so the project must have gotten slight corrupted or saved in a strange state. I responded on that thread with suggestions about how to fix it. In any case, this isn't a Flash Player issue; it's just as broken if you open it in Scratch 1.4.

Re: Report glitches in the Flash project player here!

Some games are lagging on the flash player while not lagging in the Java, I created a separate
thread to seek solutions but it didn't work, all the requirements (links etc) are here:

In the latest version of scratch player, if you scroll down while it is loading, your mouse turns into a pencil. I am using Windows XP SP3 with Firefox (I can't duplicate it in explorer).-I actually can, it just goes away when you move the mouse and disappears when it is loaded fully.

Re: Report glitches in the Flash project player here!

Yes I've noticed a glitch about colors or scrips because when I made the background change color I used a script to keep the player on but the flash player didn't run it so my sprite fell off screen. But it works fine in java and in the download so I was hoping this could be fixed too. Thank you!

Lightnin wrote:

Variable values with trailing non-number characters
In Scratch 1.4, you can use a variable in a math calculation, even if it has characters other than numbers at the end of it (like "320 feet").  The extra characters are ignored.  Currently, the Flash player is not being so forgiving and is setting those variables to zero during the calculation.  This has been added to the bug list to be fixed.

Whoa, I never knew it did that! That may have caused some glitches a long time ago.

When the game is over it can not be restarted, because the blocks are not cleaned.

you have to unlock the sprite. in the editor you can drag it because its in editing mode, but when you play the game it won't move. just click the little padlock next to the sprite's name so it looks unlocked.

Pull down the notification bar at the top of the project IN FLASH PLAYER. Offline, it will stay on the x 0 but online, it brings it in front of the entire player and stops all of the sprite's x/y/z setting scripts, and overrides them with the dragging until finished dragging. If you try dragging the bar down from offline scratch, you see the expected result.

This is a player glitch that is well-known and occurs in every browser.
