Nice! It works on XP too, you just have to change your folder settings so it shows the extension...probably all LS97's widget does is renames the file

The Panther2Exe thing doesn't work on projects which use the online feature for receiving text files.

It should...did you double-check the url?

The only thing that doesn't work for me is that the I/O files feature does not work as it doesn't include those files as it compiles. If you are compiling a project which includes scripts that connect to the internet, you have to be careful how you do it and you must use the externalXR feature. But apart from that, its really useful

In Panther, to make blocks, you need to learn Sqeak/Squeak Smalltalk (or how I'll call it, MIT Squeak )

MIT Squeak is a fork of a previous version of Squeak, which is an implementation of Smalltalk.

Is there a version of this EXE conversion thing for Mac. That would be useful.

It is possible, and I have tried, but have been unsuccessful. I believe that the easiest way to go about doing it is to figure out how BYOB does it and implement it with Panther. With BYOB, whenever you change the image file, it automatically compiles with that new image.
I have tried importing changesets into Panther, but have gotten a lot of errors and no success...
Oh, and in case you didn't know (you probably do, but oh well), BYOB can compile for windows and mac!

Hello,
I created an exe file from panther with Panther2EXE. My game uses the files i/o to create a txt file. But using the created exe version of the game it doesn't create any txt file. Am i doing something wrong? Panther2EXE doesn't support files i/o?
Thanks.

It probably writes the file wherever the image is dumped, unless you specified a complete path?

Thank u my friend!
It works for me and i distribute it to the other members of this community.
We can create our panther games in exe files and if we use files i/o blocks or urls we should put full path in these kind of blocks.

My computer has an error when I try to download this. I downloaded Panther before, but then couldn't get it to work when I x-ed out of it and was forced to delete the file, but before I deleted it I tried to make the file open using Panther 1.0 I think when I download it's trying to use the file that doesn't exist and the error message pops up. Any idea on how to fix this?

Could you try explaining it again? I'm having a hard time figuring out what the error is like. If you could get a screenshot, that would help a lot.

It would'nt let me save an BMP As a icon so I could'nt compile it anyway when I press cancel it says Compile Error Code 1 I'm using XP

Use this to convert your BMP to an ICO file:
http://www.coolutils.com/online/image-converter/
It shouldn't give you an error when you don't upload an image, not sure what's going on there...Which version are you using (windowed, no buttons, or normal)?
