Another bad thing about 2.0

Actually, it's my understanding that there is going to be some sort of plug-in interface to extend and modify the basic program.  But probably not in the original release.  The Scratch Team really loves the creativity and enthusiasm shown by those making all the mods of Scratch - they want to be able to provide something similar in Scratch 2.0.

oh goodie !

lets just hope …

Well if you want to make mods, you'll have to learn Flash.

Re: What do you think of the Scratch 2.0 Prototype?

I'm really sorry, but I can't find specifically where the Scratch 2.0 suggestions page is, so I thought that this is the closest. Right, a couple of days ago I posted this:

A couple of days ago I wrote:

2. Instead of having to name each list, could you insert a variable where a list name would appear. So, instead of:

add X to list [1 v]
what about?
add X to list [(list#)]
(list#) is a variable.

Question number 2 will make the difference whether my next city game can have 15000 tiles or 5 million.

Well I went on Panther 1.0 and found that this feature actually works, and I was just wondering whether the Scratch Team would consider it. I could have practically unlimited tiles for city games, unlimited save files, loads! Basically, you make two lists, a list called 1 and another called 2. Then, you make a block called "add _ to list \/" and insert the variable in where the arrow is. Now, when you change the variable to 1, and try to add "banana" to the list, it will actually add "banana" to list 1!!! Set the variable to 2, it will add "banana" to list 2!!!!!! I wanted to make sure that this got onto an official page as I worried that my version would mean that the developers would have to leave the threads they normally check. Please support!

Generation:4001 Build a beautiful city, with over 50 objects and over 10000 tiles per city! This simulates traffic, pollution, tourism, crime and more!

Re: What do you think of the Scratch 2.0 Prototype?

Re-Add 'REMIX' Button cuz it was really good...
could you possible add a block that is like:
//
RANDOMISE [Type:E.G.Location] [MiniMum Value] [MaxiMum Value] [Focus Value] [Focus Range]
//
Have '[Focus Value]' focus the value so lets say maximum value 100 minimum is 1 and you want more higher numbers to come up in focus value you put 99 (make it so you cant ever put max or minimum values in the focus) and then you might set the range to 2 meaning that 50% of the time you get from 100(becuase it cant go above max) down to 97 and for having it completely random the focus is average number and the range is maximum figure!

Well, it kinda is, because it's asking for your opinions and ways to make it better.

This has been suggested many times before, and can be accomplished using variables.
