I agree with calebxy. The Maverick is awesome, and reliable (My Raider jams up alot). They are also very cheap to replace if you break them (modding or otherwise).
Have you seen the strong arm? Its the elite nerf maverick.

Realase date is sometime in 2013
Looks like they just redesigned the casing a bit and added slam fire (something that the old one can sorta do (barrel won't rotate if trigger isn't released and pressed again).

it shoots foam darts twice as far like most elite guns do compared to the originals

It isn't hard to mod an old nerf gun to do 75 feet. I doubt that the "Elite" ones can actually do it, also.

I like Nerf because of its variety and quality.

How do you do that? Do mean the coin mod?

That, plus air restrictor removal would likely get you up 75+.

Ah yes. Well according to my friends (I haven't done it myself), the coin mod weakens the spring after a while.

But I don't use marshmallows, I use "bullets" made out of little wads of tinfoil. BD
Glue a small piece of wax paper (little bigger than head of 'bullet') to the tip of the bullet to make them make noise.

I like airsoft and BB guns. Sadly, i just learned airsoft guns don't have enough pressure to pop a balloon!!!! you would think a plastic ball shot out of a pellet gun would pop a balloon!!
The plastic ball doesn't weigh enough to exert more than a little tap on whatever it hits. Unless you get it going close to the speed of sound, that is.

Yes, that's true.
Also, the only Nerf gun that I actually like is a Stampede ECS. It's pretty comfortable in your hand, and really awesome if you paint it black. Next year for my birthday, though, I'm going to ask for a paintball gun.

The thing about paintball guns is that you can't use them around buildings, for the most part. Airsoft and Nerf are fine pretty much anywhere.

Well, if you put the gun touching the balloon, then it will pop. Trust me, ive tried it.

I know. It's just that my parents won't let me get Airsoft. And I've sort of grown out of Nerf guns now.

Ahhh. Yeah, I don't even know where any old Nerf Guns are . Why would you be allowed to have a paintball gun and not an airsoft one, though?

My parents are fine with paintball. As long as its washable and not permanent. My dad doesn't want me playing with airsoft since it can hurt pretty bad. Plus, I'm going to be 14 next year anyway.
Another reason I don't enjoy Nerf anymore is that I usually end up losing all the darts in within two days of buying the stupid thing. Though I still like playing with the Vortex disc blasters though, such as the Praxis, and I hope to get the Pyragon soon.

Ah. But paintball hurts a ton more than airsoft XD. And nerf darts are pretty easy to lose, aren't they.

They are really easy to lose, especially when you have a cat that plays with anything and everything left on the floor for more than 5 mins.

its amazing but a bit difficult to use. My least favorite thing is that you need to shake the top holding handle to rotate the clip circle. The clips are tightly fit in. The ranges are around 60 to 75 feet. The set also comes with 4 clips instead of 8 that it can hold. Unlike the vulcan and stampede its very light. Its very small. Around the size of a recon/retaliator. Its very durable and mobile. These flaws are only bad if you used to large nerf blasters. Get it its amazing. I would wait until its on sale to buy it. Its expensive. 65$ in canadian money around 50$ in american.

The vulcan was alot more expensive in 2008. A 60 $ gun with 25 $ spenton batteries. Its only worth 30 $ now.
