Screen goes blank

When I try to load Scratch on my computer running Ubuntu a blank window pops up. Has anyone else had this problem or now how to fix it.

Uhm...Did you dowloaded the right? Sorry. I own a Windows XP Home Premium. I don't have a idea about Ubuntu...

If you are opening a big project it may go blank for a while. Just minimise it and maximise it until it turns into a picture.  wink
