Welcome Maltese_Falcon and Programmer_112 to the Idea Shop!
Announcement #9: (4/14/13)
Although this isn't math related, I might as well tell it. I had went to a national math tournament yesterday in which I competed against other 9th graders. After testing, I had placed in 4th place! Yay!

The Idea Shop is finally updated!
Announcement #7: (3/31/13)
I shall be updating this shop soon to include Members and the some new pages that we currently missing. Also, I just went to a math tournament, so if you want to read up on that, you can go to this post.
Announcement #6: (Unknown)
We passed 300 ideas everybody! Great job! :)
Announcement #5: (Unknown)
Note: I do not have a true copy of this announcement, though I do remember what is said, and so this is something what it would've read.
You may have just noticed that there's a second idea shop. Well the reason why I have it is because there are a few things that I want to test out before implementing here, that's if I ever do. Well for now, you can order at both shops, though I'd recommend that you went to the Beta one.
Announcement #4: (1/28/13)
It's my Birthday today! Yay!
Announcement #3: (12/27~30/12)
We passed 200 ideas!!! Congradulations everyone!!!
Announcement #2: (12/25/12)
The Idea Shop is going to be temporarily closed today, though orders are still accepted. So in the meant time, enjoly the day and have some fun.
Anyway, to every scratcher out there, Merry Christmas! Happy Kuwanzaa! Happy Hanukkah! I hope that you'll all have a great day!
Announcement #1: (11/10/12)
Earlier, this shop had reached a total of 100 ideas, and the number is steadily growing. So, there are two things I would like to do. First of all, I would like to thank every scratcher for getting this shop off to a great start. If it wasn't for you, this place wouldn't even exist and it was fun getting to know all of you. Also, I would like to thank the ST for making all of this possible and for putting in so much hard work into Scratch. Along with that, I'd like to thank the Moderators who moderate the forums and make it possible for us to use the forums.
Now on to the second thing I'd like to do. I would like to hold a survey to get your feedback and use it to improve this idea shop. Also, I would like the feedback so that I could improve my ideas and get you an even more excellent experience than before. So, if you would like to help, just fill out the small text box below and your done! Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Survey
Do you like the shop's layout? If no, why not?
Do you like the ideas? Do you think that they could be improved?
How about the service? Is it friendly and nice or cruel and insulting?
Is there anything that you think could be improved or added to this idea shop?
Overall, how much would you rate this shop out of 10 and why?

Sample Ideas:
1). El Dorado. The City of Gold. It has always been a mystery to all, known to none, the mystic thing that's so elusive, but not any more. But first, let's get to the roots of all of this. One day, you, a great, strong miner of iron, was walking home on a peaceful jungle road, when out of nowhere, *poof*, a brilliant, clear crystal appears in front of you. Brilliant rays dance around you, and the world is transformed just for a wonderful moment, but as fast as it came, as fast as it went. Now, a few days later, in your sleep, the crystal whispers to you and shows you the path to El Dorado. Everything is extremly calm and scerene, but the place looks sick, dark, and dying. The air carries a vile scent of death, and nothing moves. Suddenly, a huge understanding comes over you and it becomes clear; you must now take the crystal back to its dear home. It has been choosen; it is your destiny. Now you must go and find El Dorado, and become the first person to do so in the entirety of history.
If you hadn't figured this out by now, this is supposed to be a Platformer Adventure, or an RPG.
2). Puzzle Defense. In this puzzling game, you face hords and hords of enemies, but you don't get money from them, so how do you win? Through puzzles. On one side of the screen, there will be random puzzles swhich you must finish to get money, and they're not always easy. And don't forget, some of the ones with better rewards have time limits. So, solve as many puzzles as you can. :)
3). This is more of a simple idea, but how about making a platformer game based around scratchblocks? For example, you could use them for wall and floors, or you could make a [change [lives v] by (-1)] block that's best avoided.
More to be added in the future...

no hurry1 or 2 ideas is definitely going to be possible. So, here are my ideas:
1). A random puzzle generator. You could make it for a specific type of puzzle or for multiple puzzles in general. Also, you could try including this maze game where each square is numbered 1-7 and the number of the square you're on tells you how many squares you can move up, down, left or right. So, you're trying to get from the lower left-hand corner to the upper right-hand corner.
2). One day you were flying your plane in absolute peace when suddenly, a bird gets sucked into your engine and you fall out of the sky into a jungle. Now, you face leopards, banana-throwing monkeys, and annoying flies. Will you be able to find all of the plane parts and escape from the jungle alive?
I hope that you like my ideas!awesome! ill probably use numer two. thanks!
Your welcome!

I need ideas for my stubby cat platformer.
1 monster
1 level environment.
1 super hero power.
Here are my ideas:
For the monster, how about a dog or a snake?
And for the level enviroment, how about a jungle, a desert or a snowy forest?
And for the power, maybe the cat could have the ability to fly for short periods of time? Or how about the ability to roll up into a ball and knock down everything in its path?
I hope that you like my ideas!

Remember the Matrix calculator you wanted? Well this weekend has been consumed with making a scratch assignment for my Biology class (which I'll release this Friday), and because of that, I wasn't able to get much done on your calculator. However, I've got addition and subtraction programed in so far, and tomorrow I should get multiplication done, so I just wanted to say that you'll get your calculator by Friday, or on Friday if I'm extremely unlucky.
To StarscreamClone:
I'm just curious, why will you be naming it CLONE?

It's supposed to incorporate something about cloning (sorry; I should have made that clear).

It's okay, though I have one last question; when you say cloning, do you mean cloning objects in Scratch 2.0 or cloning in real-life?
Ideas wrote:
Do you need help with this?
No, though soon I might be expanding my shop so that scratchers, other than I, could join the shop and give people ideas. Then, if that happens, you could join & help, though not now.

I could, but I've had my hands tied these past few weekends. Because of that, I'm making plans that'll allow me to work on City Tycoon II more by about 4 hours each week, which should speed up production from its snail pace to something faster.

don't forget it doesn't have to be great, wasn't expecting anything good from you anyway!
JOKING
Just remember that we can edit it together and keep sending it back and forth. It isn't like a last-minute check-up. Plus, you might even want to wait until Scratch 2.0 comes out so that we can implement disasters.

I'm thinking that instead of waiting till Scratch 2.0, we could work on City Tycoon II and release it when it's done. Then when Scratch 2.0 comes out, we could add more disasters.

suppose! i just thought that by the time we've edited it to the way we want it might be January time anyway, but it might be best if we release it early so that we can focus on other games!

This is going to be a tough order, so I'll post my ideas as I get them:
1). A recreation of Jeopordy, Monopoly or Life in Scratch, except base it off of cloning.
2). One Minute. In this game, the world has been threatened by a super virus and there is only one anti-virus cell in existence that could combat this menace. To save the world, you must successfully clone it in 1 minute. Good luck!
3). Cloning TD. In this game, you start off with one tower and a trap, though you're not allowed to buy new ones. Instead, you'll have to clone or upgrade already existing towers and traps to keep back the tide of enemies invading your home. Also, to make this educational, you could base the levels off of various stages of cloning, you could add a feature to show a random fact between levels, and maybe a page that just talks about cloning, which you can get to from the main menu.
4). A book about cloning. Basically, you could make a realistic book in Scratch, and then change the pages into either:
a). A book about cloning.
b). A short story that, even though it doesn't talk about cloning, it has something in its place, and it contains several facts about cloning hidden in the story.
5). A random quiz generator that gives you random questions about cloning. You should be able to change the amount of questions and maybe the difficulty as well.
I hope that you like my ideas!

Wish I could do Scratch projects for my biology class.
I had forgotten about matrices. I asked someone in my class about it, but he's still taking them. And uses a calculator.
