I cannot remember what page or who the person that made our sprites. It is a someone that quit and I think it is somewhere in the 50's. There should be a link to the pokemon we've made.

OK, let's list all the major mishaps so far during this collab (yet, I can't remember I good idea I had. I'm so negative -.-)

Max resigned

Zang went on a 3-month hiatus (speaking of which, she hasn't been around in a while)

I left for 6 weeks with limited internet, and with so many wanting to join, it was hard to control the collab at the time.

We were all hit badly by the Post-Summer Homework Depression, or PSHP (I'm so awesome, made that up just now XD)

No one would (or could) clump until pokedirector stepped up to the challenge but...

His entire motherboard crashed and he had to start from Scratch (pun intended).

Then pokedirector had to quit, leaving me in temporary full care of you all until popopobob's homework clears up (which it has temporarily).

That's seven major mishaps.

Not to mention my permanent mishap of forgetfulness.

Yet, we're still pulling through, like a cargo ship plowing through a U-Boat fleet and making it through yet badly scathed!

Or like the Boeing-747 that flew through Mount Pinatubo's great eruption cloud during her cataclysmic Plinian/Ultra Plinian eruption that could've killed thousands and caused a huge increase in the size of the ozone hole above Antarctica and still landed saving everyone!

In other words, we're all doing a good job. XD

Re: Pokemon- Land Version and Pokemon- Sea Version Collab

smile  Awww Yeeaahhhhh No problems have I caused. Except my 1 week post-Sandy Recovery [PSR  wink ] Lol. Anyways. I have yet to create all the individual images for sprites for Professor Juniper [beta professor] and her pokemon (ughhhh) it takes forever because Scratch screws it all up in the process. I am as well programming movement and what-not. I found out in the old beta. Scrolling was screwed up because I used the wrong dimension. I used 480 for x and 480 for y instead of 360. So I fixed that here.
EDIT 1:

There is one problem in my programming.  I cannot seem to wrap my finger around scroll Y and scroll X infinite scrolling on the same sprite. It needs a lot of math and I am doing my research. One:It requires mod., which would be used in the case of factoring and in finding the correct placement of the costume/sprite. However scroll Y needs a whole new set of math and it is confusing. Two:It is required to clean up all the hundreds of sprites (locations) and rule it down to only two (physical location) and hidden (the ghost copy that is placed and edited graphically to be the places in which the hero bumps into so they don't for example walk through walls or through trees).

Re: Pokemon- Land Version and Pokemon- Sea Version Collab

Hi guys! I don't have a beta, but a project featuring the sprites I have so far.

Beta Sprites

I have animated sprites for the front and back for Generation V (Black/White 2) including shiny which I will use for battles and I also have animated sprites for when you check you Pokemon Team of six. This beta is going to take awhile trust me. I need perfectly master scrolling to an extent in which no terrain overlaps or is too far from another. One in which moves smoothly and doesn't lag.

Yes you are.

So that would make you my not-quite-superior.

@bey

Yayiehz.

Beta Sprites! We're actually getting somewhere instead of messing about deciding what to do!

Take your time with programming, I understand how complex the scripts can be, considering we're using a beginner's program to make something this big.

Re: Pokemon- Land Version and Pokemon- Sea Version Collab

@The1UP Thanks! I am on my way to programming but before that,

I need to create a project that holds all of the Pokemon Sprites (Starters and Route 1 Pokemon) Animations and one with the people (random people walking around the city + rival) animations.

I will continue Black/White 2 Rival Hugh and use his animations but will start off my own little tutorial and stuff. I will also create a new better battle engine.

Eheheh. *sweat drop*

I went to the toilet and tried to flush the toilet right after flushing it.

Then I tried to unlock the door when I had already unlocked it.

Minutes before, I came close to getting a detention when I forgot my book. X3

That aside, great work you're doing so far!

Seems you're making big contributions right now.

Re: Pokemon- Land Version and Pokemon- Sea Version Collab

Lol.

Anyways, someone has to step up at a time of need. I couldn't do much before, nor did I have the programming skills I have no, before.

Okay. Here is what is happening. I am playing Black 2 (need to train my under-leveled Pokemon to Lv.47 Only 3 Pokemon have decent levels ughh) I have noticed throughout that we would have to program certain attacks for each pokemon for each level. We can't have the same kind of attack for everything.

Trainers are no problem but wild battle ughhh. Anyways, I will get on the introduction right now, I have the movements down. I need to just get some of the random people in the town sprites together. From there, get a map for, Home Town and Route 1 (beta).

From the sprites come programming, i need to prevent all past bugs.

One:Hero cannot walk on the black background!
Two:Wild Battle Options must disappear when battle ends
Three:Scrolling must be fixed that you stay in the middle of the screen and that you can fit through areas.
Four:Introduction, choose gender and chosen name for self and rival must be done.
Five:Starter is chosen after introduction, not before

Re: Pokemon- Land Version and Pokemon- Sea Version Collab

If work is going to get done around here, I might as well be organized :3

A checklist to make sure work is being done. I might as well set myself a due date. I am in the gym and making fast EXP with this lucky egg. Turns out, all I need is my Haxorus to sweep these trainers and soon Drayden.

So here is how we will do EXP (all thanks to playing Pokemon)

This will all go according to stats, turns, levels, and so on.

First: Compute the difference between levels, significant higher level then opponent less EXP. Lower Level, less EXP. Even lv. same EXP.

Second: How long did the battle last? (1 turn, 15 turns) The faster, the more.

Third: What kind of battle is it? (One v One, Two v. Two, or Three v. Three) The more Pokemon the more EXP.

Fourth: What type of battle: (In order from most Exp. to least)

-Champion
-Elite Four
-Boss/Gym
-Trainer(s)
-Wild

That's uh...

A very good deduction. XD

Right now, I'm training myself.

I WILL SING THE DISAPPEARANCE OF HATSUNE MIKU!

Just you wait! I'll dominate my school! First Gangnam Style for people to begin noticing me...

Then when the chance arises, BAM!

The Disappearance of Hatsune Miku, what I believe to be the hardest song to sing in the world!

It'll be easier and harder for me to sing at the same time because:

I only speak a little Japanese, but if I can learn Gangnam Style, the lyric learning shouldn't be the hard part.

I talk really fast, so it's natural I sing really fast.

But GEEZ. This is one rough road.

Back on-topic 1UP.

Stop ranting about your personal achievements.

Re: Pokemon- Land Version and Pokemon- Sea Version Collab

......

Okay, well uh.....

Anyways here is the Introduction! Ta-Daaa!

It has been completed. It was pretty easy being that I had all the sprites. Took me no less then 15-20 Minutes to create. I just had to add some scripts here, fix a couple flaws, and add a thumbnail. Otherwise, we are good to go.

However in actuality, when the game comes out we need an actual picture of Land/Sea which ever version. Also some kind of Logo and the Nintendo Logo (with a caption giving credit to logo and most images but the idea is to Nintendo) and an animation (not a 3D one like B/W and B/W 2) Just a simply intro to catch the attention.

Nuh-uh!

Whew, haven't gotten into my Pokemon Lecture Mode in a long time *activates*

*draws down board and pointer*

Y'see, Pokemon was the idea of Satoshi Tajiri, founder and current head of Game Freak, the third-party company most used by Nintendo (considering Pokemon is only the second-most sold franchise of all time, to Mario).

Satoshi had the idea since childhood, as his hobby was collecting insects in Tokyo Prefecture, then having them fight. He was known as Dr. Bug by his friends.

Later, he developed an idea to have children have the same excitement as he did with his bugs. So, naturally, he put forward an idea.

Unfortunately, his idea of Capsule Monsters wasn't well-received.

So he came up with the rather catchy name of CapsuMon.

Not well-received either.

Then the spark appeared. Pocket Monsters.

To Westerns, Pocket Monsters are known as Pokemon, as Pocket Monsters sounded related to the unrelated "Monsters in my Pocket" franchise.

To conclude, Pokemon was Game Freak's idea.

Someone needs to quote me on this for future misconceptions.

That, and I see the introduction is gonna need a lot of adding on. XD

But it's a start, and some actual work, so I'm not complaining.

I call it a critique. XD

Then we need BOTH logos happy?

After reading that counter-example upon my misconception. I have come to think that I will take a break for now. Continue my Pokemon (why have you frozen the city Plasma?), time to take on the whole team and continue, one by one, to destroy them.

Afterwards, I will start on the actual beginning to the game where meet your rival, get  your running shoes, choose your starter, tutorial on how to catch a pokemon, then I set you freeeee!

Oh. Well, uhhhh

Anyways, when this game is done (a long time from now) we will create a walkthrough before hand, and create events. I am looking months or even years from now. Events, cheats, and other stuff.

Strongest Trainer?

I am pretty sure that just a while back we were both on the same gym leader and you just beat him. I am onto my eighth gym badge (I have to first do some missions)

Then again I did have my trusty pignite.

Anyways, this beta with a battle engine will be a while. I need to perfect the graphics and programming. Battle Engine will kill though.
