Does this web design book have reliable information?

I bought a web design book recently. It is called Web Design for Teens.

However, the year of publication is 2005. Some of you, on this thread, have mentioned about not using deprecated tags. Is this book still reliable?

(If you want me to look up certain things in the index, I'll do that.)

Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: Does this web design book have reliable information?

Does it mention HTML5, CSS3, and XHTML?
If not, it wouldn't really be up to date

Also, if you wanted to go the free way, you could learn html at w3schools.com

True. Don't use any sketchy tags that position text or tableifiy things and you should pretty much be set.

NO!

Re: Does this web design book have reliable information?

Well I started out with w3schools, they're absolutely fine for beginning, IMO, since their explanations and tutorials are really nice! There are a few incorrect pieces of information, but no biggie!

I think that this site is the best site for learning code. As for if the book is reliable or not, check the reviews.
