UPDATED! Also, I've adjusted the voting rule. Basically, I will decide how many votes people can have nearer the closing date for nominations (December 1st)

1st December, same as when voting starts.

I would suggest splitting up Platformers and RPGs, they are very different games, unless the platformer is an RPG.

well that was what I feared, which one would a game like that go in? plus, the overall genre is Adventure, the brackets merely tell the nominee what is included in Adventure.

My apologies about the thread, as soon I posted mine, I realized. It was not on purpose, I promise!

don't worry, i'm not upset and i don't mind you running your own, i'm just warning you that they might both clash. scratchers might also get confused as to which one is the 'official' one.

I really do think that some categories will contain project that are hard to compare. Different gameplay styles. Like War & Action, you might have an FPS against a Tower Defence, they are games that would be hard to compare.

it's not about comparison, it's about people's favourites. at certain film festivals for example, one of the categories is best film of either musical or comedy. I know this because Sweedny Todd (by Tim Burton) won. That would have been put against films like Mamma Mia (if it came out that year) and comedies like The Watch (if that also came out the same year). So it's not about direct comparisons.

I might add NorthOS 2 when it's finished; it'll hopefully be out by the start of December.
