Importing Size Glitch

I made a 120x90 rectangle for one of my projects. I then exported it so I could use it again. When I imported it into my project it is 120x90. Then I decorated it and its dimensions changed to 120x97. Then I rubbed out within 7 pixels of the top and bottom. It is still 120x97. I had to conclude that it was a glitch. Is it, and how can I get around it?

Re: Importing Size Glitch

first of all, did you get this "glitch" more than a single time? did the image save correctly or did you press cancel?

Re: Importing Size Glitch

Upload the image on a Scratch project so everyone can take a look. It's very possible that there's a tiny pinprick pixel that you might have forgotten to erase.

It is 120x90 when I export it but 120x97 when I import it.

It is 120x90 when I export it but 120x97 when I import it.

But we can't tell that for sure until you upload the image somewhere we everyone can see it. A confirmed bug is one that can be reproduced by others, so we would still need to see the image in question.

Re: Importing Size Glitch

Things imported from  MS paint Become blurry. This can maybe be the problem. What drawing program are you importing from?

If it's saved as a .jpeg or .jpg it sometimes becomes blurry as well.

The program itself makes no encoding difference to the file, but rather, the format. Like Mokat said, JPG causes loss of quality (see url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lossy_compression) and is therefore not recommended. Try exporting to PNG.  smile

Re: Importing Size Glitch

I have just tried importing and decorating it again and this time it stayed 120x90! I would like to keep this thread open incase the glitch comes back.
