Hid a hidden sprite?

Hey! This is baileyburrito (please don't ask why I made another account and called it idunnoupickthename cuz its very complicated). So, I was making a project with a pass code on it and something screwed up my script. I had a hidden sprite that was supposed to "show" when you pressed the 4 button. The thing is, it's not "showing". I can probably find out why if I look at the scripting, but I can't get to my sprite!!! Someone help me!!!!

Re: Hid a hidden sprite?

Are you sure it's still there and that you didn't accidentally delete it? You could test this quickly by getting a go to block and trying to get the missing sprite's name in it. If you find it's name, then  hmm . If you don't, then you probably deleted your sprite.

Re: Hid a hidden sprite?

Sorry, the 4 key, not the 4 button.

Re: Hid a hidden sprite?

Maybe it has to do with the fact that it's a hidden sprite, since I'm pretty sure they're a glitch in the program, and you can't look at your scripting in a hidden sprite, because it's hidden. Maybe, instead of having that kind of hidden sprite, do the other way, where you have the hidden sprite be the same color as the Scratch program's background, and have it's name be a space. That way you could look at your scripts and figure out what's wrong.

Thanks for the suggestion, but yes, I tried that and they are still there.

Well, no, it's hard to explain but that wouldn't work for what I'm specifically doing. I don't want it to be hidden when the project is published and visible to scratchers, but when it is downloaded. And I know the fact that it isn't showing probably has to do with the fact that it's a hidden sprite, but I have the same scripting with 5 other hidden sprites and they work fine.

BTW You can view hidden sprites, you just click on them onscreen.
