Help i have a NERF gun im going to modify. but some screws are worn out and screwdrivers don't catch making it impossible to open the NERF gun.

You could place a rubber balloon between the screw head and the screw driver to see if the screwdriver can get a better grip, or try using pliers to get a good grip on the screw head.

actually I have run into this problem myself, never been able to solve it

I have had that problem alot too. Sadly the tools made for doing this (i think there is one called the grabit or something) don't come in sizes small enough. sad

Well, trick doesn't work all the time (especially if the head is totally demolished somehow. Rusty screws are a good example since the head can become all crumbly). Those cases, it might require a bit more work (like drilling into the screw, for example).

Try different driver sizes. This almost always works in my cases.

You might be able to cut a slot in the head with a hacksaw or small rotary tool and use that to unscrew it. I've used that trick once or twice. If you cut too deep, though, the head will fall apart.
