Yeah! 143-153 Romney's favor from what I see, but most states are still under 50% reporting.

Florida was too close to call :OOOOO

Anyways, there was a mock election at my school too  big_smile  Apparently the teachers are counting the votes by hand so it might take a little while to get results...

Re: Presidential Election results

MSNBC currently reports the electoral counts as 162-163, Romney in the lead.  Each candidate still needs over a hundred points though.

Oh I thought your school would have set up a computer count where each vote is scanned and validated electronically.

I don't know what level of school it is, but in a high- or maybe middle school there should be enough programmers to make an automatic voting program  tongue

Yeah, same with mine, but we have a lot of teachers involved in the various political clubs. I think about 300 people voted, so if there are 10 teachers involved and each one reads 30 ballots, it's easy. I'm presuming we get results tomorrow.

In Florida, I'm calling Obama winning, but I'm still not sure.
In Ohio, same thing, but I'm really not sure.

The main uncounted areas though are major urban centers though, which lean extremely democratic.

In Florida, I just looked, and...
I'm very surprised. My county voted Obama, and he won by over 15%. That's strange when I see Romney signs everywhere I go.

He's ahead by .5% of the vote right now, and over 94% of votes are counted in that.

Watching MSNBC? Same here. My friend I'm talking to on iMessage is watching Politico.com, they are a little behind on calling the states, but Obama's still up by 30 in their stats. Just waiting for the rest of the states to come in, it'll end up with the same result.

Any results on Florida? Politico still says Obama is ahead, but it's not final yet.

I don't think anyone's called Florida yet, but even Fox has Obama above 270 votes.

Ok. I'm adding some stuff in my head (and on my calculator, because my brain function is a bit limited at this time of night), and calculated that pretty much Obama is guaranteed to win his second term.

Re: Presidential Election results

It concerns me that Internet communities are tweeting stuff like LOLL!1 GOBAMA! TAKE IT REPUBLIKANS AMERICA DOSNTT KAR WAT U GOT 2 SAY LOSRS and these are people who voted //readingthethingonyoutubepoliticsoutofboredom

actual examples too

"OBAMA = Obviously Better At Handling America" (H =/= M)
" I wonder a wrestling fight Obama vs mit romney :3 that will be so funny!"

Re: Presidential Election results

Don't expect there to be many updates for a little while, everyone is just going to be paying attention to the acceptance/concession speeches, so they probably will be finished up overnight once they have 100% precincts reporting.
