that would be nice
as a general rule I dont grief scratch servers, I found dwarven on pmc and didnt realize it was on scratch aswell.

It has nothing to do with optifine. My guess is you got raided and wherever you were in your base was filled in with blocks. When you logged in, said blocks suffocated you.
