What age do you have to be for scratch?

I think I'm too young for scratch because I'm hearing that people are like 11 and 12 and many older ages. I'm 9 and is that an Okay age for scratch?

I'm teaching my 7 year old sister Scratch. 9 is certainly OK.

I was here since 7 also. Mostly 8 because I joined before the day of my 8th birthday.

Actually, min is -Infinity. There are some people with negative age.

According to this webpage, Scratch was targeted mainly for 8 - 16 year olds; according to that criteria, you're the appropriate age!  wink

Don't let the age thing fool you, though. Scratch is used by a lot of people having a wide range of ages. Some children as young as 5 have been known to use Scratch, and adults (such as college students, parents, and teachers) have been known to use Scratch as well.  smile

The scratch website is for all ages, the 10-15 is just a reccomendation, more of a targeted age!

Scratch is for everyone to use and learn programming, don't let scratch age limits put you off.

You can be any age on Scratch. Also, if you're nine and that's your grammar, then you are certainly allowed.
