He's GREAT at building worlds and being creative

Not-so great at directing and dialogue

Besides it's not like anyone ever actually said "The Star Wars series can have no more editions it is done it is over"
there have been fairly constant flows of books and that tv show thing

The existence of these movies won't ruin the first three

1. No movie needs a sequel unless it finishes with loose ends.
2. You don't know what they're going to be about.

some movies do not call for sequels
many sequels are made just to squeeze more money out of a movie or series and not because its a good idea
and as a matter of fact

According to Kathleen Kennedy, Lucasfilm co-chair and now brand manager of the “Star Wars” franchise, meetings are already underway with possible writers for the forthcoming films, which will reportedly be based on the characters that were central to the second trilogy: Luke, Leia and Han Solo.

It can still be really really good. And it very well might be, considering it's Disney.

As I think someone said earlier, these movies won't ruin the old ones.

Even if I don't think this is an absolutely terrible idea, I do think a movie set in like, the time of The Old Republic may be better.

Didn't Lucas made a few billion $s selling star wars to disney?
