Re: NaNoWriMo (i hope I spelled it right)

I'm doing it. I am upping my word count goal from 30000 last year (I barely succeeded) to 80000 this year. I'll have to do a LOT of typing, and I'll need a LOT of inspiration.

Re: NaNoWriMo (i hope I spelled it right)

I started early so I have about 5000 words, I'm going to ration them out though because I'm pretty busy right now. Hoping to at least mostly get through the month  smile

I just signed up for it. I set my goal at a modest 15,000 (this is the first time I've done it).

That is

extremely low

That's like "short story writing month"

Also, I am actually keeping up with word count goals this time.  yikes

That's way too low. But if it's your first time, then I understand.  tongue

Well, if you really want to do the real deal, lie about your age. If you want to try it first and take it nice and easy, do the YWP version.

Uhhh, it's his first time doing it. You kind of have to try it out first and see how many you think you can write the next year. It's my first year too, but I might raise mine a little bit. Mine's at 7,000 right now. That's the minimum I can do in my class. The maximum I can do is 15,000, so I'm not making the restrictions. My teacher is.

Your teacher is . . . setting your word count for something unrelated to school?

And set the goal so low that it undermines the idea of the month?
