Re: Save Scratch From Noobs And Laggy games.

Scratch is a place for everybody to share they creations, even when they're laggy and glitchy. You shouldn't call new users "noobs". You confuse 2 different words. New users are newbies, and noobs are users who have been in the game long time but can't really play. And of course somebody may feel offended or insulted reading this. For example you. You have only 1 post and 2 project which represent no real value for me. And consider how many there are topics like this one.

I agree. I really hate it when users that only have a few projects call other users "noobs". As in, when a user called [I won't give their name] said "Everyone wants to be like me" when they had no friends and no projects.

Re: Save Scratch From Noobs And Laggy games.

Some people want to go through the multitude of other people. Some of them use the very aggressive way, for instance Doody. She kept sending almost worthless projects to keep on "Newest projects" bar. After some time, she started creating other accounts which she used to "insult" her main account. Other users felt sorry for her and quickly formed a group called "Doody lovers". Doody kept this technique until she got banned from website and from forum. She still could send projects, though. Two times she sent the "Banned!" project. But then she became quiet, popular hamsters leader.
I found that some of television-raised teens (world widely called "Pokemons") from "uncivilized" regions of the world made a tendency to offend everything in their surroundings (except other "Pokemons"), sometimes including his or her parents. "Pokemons" register on every MMOG, forum, social network, digg-thing, twitter-thing and youtube-thing they meet on their way through the Internet (including Scratch which is an youtube-thing for them) and post comments like that from the 1st post in this thread. The tendency is almost everywhere, for examples like those:
- Counter Strike n00bs
- Tibia players (almost 100% of Tibia users are "Pokemons")
- Some of YouTube Poop uploaders
And so on. "Pokemons" love to offend other users calling them "noobs" etc., so THEY are the real Plague of the Internet.

Hmmmmm... it seems to me that your post carries a slightly aggressive and offensive tone. I think you should be more gentle and respective when referring to other users on Scratch.

http://i52.tinypic.com/5es7t0.png I know what you're thinking! "Neptune! Get rid of those filthy advertisements and give us back the Zarathustra siggy, you horrible person!" Well, don't worry about it, the Zara siggy will be back soon, new and improved! ^^ Meanwhile, just do what the sig tells you to. >.>

Re: Save Scratch From Noobs And Laggy games.

Scratch is under invasion by newcomers? I would think that that would be a good thing. Scratch is meant for newbies.

I don't think people should take this seriously. The first post is nonsensical.

Agreed. This thread looks more like spam that ought to be locked.

Re: Save Scratch From Noobs And Laggy games.

Of course Scratch is full of newcomers and less-than-professional projects...it's an educational site that is becoming more popular all the time.

The inflamatory way this thread was titled causes me to think it was posted just to generate controversy.  I'm closing the topic.
