So I saw -Nightfire-'s recent project (I will provide link if requested) and she showed some picks of homemade felt plushies she had made. I think they are so cute! So I thought it was a great idea to make some of my own and I know how to sew so I thought it would be great.
Here's a list of steps Ive made on how I think you should make one for example here is how yo make a cat plushie:
-Draw a version of the plush on paper of what you want it to look like(the actual size of how big you want it to be)
-Cut out 2 shapes of the body (1 for front 1 for back) out of felt cloth, using the pic as a guide.
-Cut out felt pieces for eyes, nose, and inside of ears & any addition markings/accesories
-Sew pieces onto felt pieces onto front body shape felt piece
-Sew front and back side together, but leave a little un sewn gap
-Fill with stuffing
-Sew up gap
-Tadah!
Anything Im missing? Tell me about what you think about this!

Sounds like fun! I know Cheddargirl likes to make her own plushies. She made a project a while back, about making one because she couldn't afford to buy one.
There's also a topic on Chibi Plushies that I found
I think this is -Nightfire-'s project you mentioned. It's disguised as an art dump - but there are some awesome plushies if you keep flipping through the images.

Cool, a plushie thread! Mind of I share some extra tips here?
- When stuffing the plush, it's important to stuff the joints more lightly, especially if you want to plush to be able to move around a bit.
- Any scrap piece of cloth used to make the plushie could be used to stuff the plushie instead. More eco-friendly than throwing the scraps out.
