Frequent suggestions

I have noticed a large amount of suggestions about the same thing. To make it easier, I am going to collect all the commonly suggested ideas and post links to the oldest existing threads here. This can help prevent duplicate topics and reduce the amount of hassle in finding them.

Look here for a list of features that are already included in Scratch 2.0.

This thread is for suggestions that have been denied. Check there, too, before you suggest.

1. Broadcast received boolean
There is also a page on scratch suggestions. This is the oldest topic I could find about making a boolean (true/false reporter) for receiving broadcasts.

2. Online/offline indicator on profile
This is about showing if a user is online on their profile page (the one with the projects).

3. Hiding mouse pointer
This is a topic about hiding the mouse pointer entirely. This can also be used to simulate a custom mouse-pointer.

4. Forum messages
This is about receiving messages when someone replies to a topic you made/posted on on the forums.

5. Export project as .swf
This is about exporting scratch projects as flash files (.swf) in 2.0.

6. DENIED Changing your username
About changing your own username to something else. Also, this is on Scratch Suggestions. Although this was denied, i am putting it here because it still gets suggested and it isn't on the other thread.

7. Scratch on Wii
About having a Wii application of Scratch.

Re: Frequent suggestions

Seems useful. Maybe add app for IOS and arrays (although I can't find oldest links)?

This post does seem a bit similar to Chris's READ THIS BEFORE SUGGESTING ANYTHING post and that has already been stickied.

And i know the suggestions are different but if you ask Chris to add it to his post it will prevent suggestions from being too over sticky populated

It should be change the mouse, not hide it. That could be dangerous.

I don't think anybody is asking if you support them or not here...this is an index into other topics.  It's probably better if you go post your opinion on the individual topics.

Re: Frequent suggestions

I think that one absolute necesity is that Scratch 2.0 will be able to edit, import, and export regular images (bitmaps, jpegs, gifs). I don't know if this is the right place to state this, but that's just something REALLY important to me.

this is a directory, you should probably make your own topic about it

Yes it could be very dangerous. But changing the mouse could be dangerous too, for example changing it to a one pixel dot or an invisible thing. but as soon as you moved your mouse out of the project screen then it would be back to normal.
