I'm buying an iPad 2 because I don't want to be ripped off.

You know, this could just mean "I'm buying an iPad 2 because I can't afford the newer ones"
and you just laughed at that

If it's meant for people who "can't afford the full thing" why can't they just buy a Kindle Fire or something? I don't know about you, but I prefer my Kindle Fire to my friend's iPad.
Because the iPad is much, much better? At least if design and apps have a say in it.

Actually, the dictionary says that a rip-off is defined "To exploit, swindle, cheat, or defraud: a false advertising campaign that ripped off." I was laughing because it seems kinda silly to think that a third or fourth generation iPad is a rip-off. It wasn't targeted to attack funelephant either.

64 GB is excessive. iPad 2 32GB Wifi-only is my model, and it's large enough. Even with a multi-gigabyte textbook and almost 2 gigs of songs and a [removed]load of Apps (91 apps) and still have 10GB free.
@mokat: Apple wants people to buy iPads instead so they can get more money, and people will buy it because it's Apple.
[mod note - please keep language appropriate for all ages]

I don't think you really understood what I'm saying. I'm saying that people should not continue buying the old A5x processor and 30-pin connector when for the same price they can get the A6x and the new Lightning port. If Apple is ready to release a product, let them release it. The only exception would be for an overhaul; ie a major design overhaul more than once per year.

Don't worry about it, besides saying you have the "coolest new thing" it doesn't really matter.

Well, people are just excited about seeing the "hot new thing" so it's kinda cool to own one and say you do. When I got my iPad and iPad 2 (on the day of the launch!) people were always asking me to show it to them.

That meme with the girl holding an iPad to take a picture is funny.
After her picture it shows three guys holdings televisions and taking pictures. Mockery is hilarious.
