Is it a trend or something? They're not in one category: Some are games, some howtos, some remixes where the person just changes a few costumes, adds a sound, and reintroduces bugs.

There's an online course involving Scratch that started not too long ago. A majority of the projects are from the course, and all the users who are taking that course look at each others projects. Similar things have happened before with other schools that use Scratch.
