I was opening a rather large file I created to work on it and as it was loading it gave me an error: Could not read project; file may be damaged (key not found).
I cannot lose this as I have been working on it for months, and my last version is quite a while ago. As far as I know, I did not exit while saving, and I tried copying and renaming with the proper extension. It still does not work. How can I fix it?

Try a system restore to before this happened

Could you upload the project to dropbox or so? Maybe I could rescue it with M30W
@joefarebrother, a system restore won't help at all, it's the file, not the program

I got this on Windows 7, when I opened a folder in Scratch through the 'Open' window. It brought up a message in the corner of the screen saying that Scratch said a file (not the one I wanted to open, just one of my Scratch projects) was damaged.
Luckily, I didn't need to open that file, as it was a finished project, so I just uploaded it from the Scratch website to my drive and it worked fine
