Umm... Please awnser. I touch 5g or I-pad mini?

Short Answer:
iTouch 5
Long Answer:
The iPad mini is cool, but the specs aren't that impressive. It's basically an iPad 2 shrunk to 8 inches. The iTouch has the same(?) processor, but it has the Retina display that the mini doesn't. The iTouch also comes in more colors.  tongue

So long, 1.4.

Shucks, now I'm a generation behind on iPad.  tongue  Proud owner of an iPad 3.

Also, when they say "iPad with Retina Display", I'm confused. Is it a step up from the iPad 3's display or not? As far as I can tell, it just has a new processor.

Don't worry, I'm two generations behind, and I'm fine with it; it's what to expect when buying hot new electronics products.

It's just the new name for it, because they can't keep calling it "the new iPad" when it's not the newest.  tongue  The display is the same on the iPad fourth generation, just small performance upgrades mostly.

You should watch the end of the iPad Mini Keynote - Apple pwns the Nexus, they compare it with the iPad Mini.

Re: October 23 Apple Event (iPad mini, 13 in. Retina MacBook, Mac minis?)

16:9 is an awful aspect ratio for a tablet. Is it 4:3 on the iPad? Because truly the iPad is the best experience I can imagine for a tablet, the only thing I would change is the OS.
That's just one THG I dislike about most android tablets. I believe it was Gizmodo who did a comparison of who should buy the iPad mini vs Nexus 7, the Nexus 7 won for everything except students, who would benefit from having both the kindle store and the iBooks store.

To me, software and apps on a mobile device is vital to it being a good experience. When you look at Android and Apple tablets side by side, you can clearly see whow has got that down. See for yourself.

You should watch the end of the iPad Mini Keynote - Apple pwns the Nexus, they compare it with the iPad Mini.

Nexus 7
Pros: light, fast, NFC, magnetic Compass, GPS, Can connect keyboard or PS3 controller with OTG cable, many free apps, front facing camera, loud speaker, fast,  Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core chip, low cost, Google now.
Cons: poor quality camera, a few glitches, no 4G/3G connectivity.

iPad mini:
Pros: fast, thin, good design, lightning connector, A6 chip, two cameras, good speaker, Siri, iSight camera, good microphone, lots of apps, magnetic compass, high definition display, easier to use.
Cons: Pricey, few glitches, Apple maps.

iPod Touch:
Pros: fast, thin, good design, lightning connector, A6 chip, two cameras, good speaker, Siri, iSight camera, good microphone, lots of apps, magnetic compass, Retina display, easier to use, very portable.
Cons: A little pricey, a few glitches, Apple maps.

Apple maps is not a con by any means. That's like saying the white iPad mini is a con - you get to choose your color, just like you get to choose whether to use Google or Apple maps.

Of course, but that's not a con. It takes like five taps to have Google Maps installed instead.

No, no, no. Again, it's like complaining about the white iPad Mini - buy the black one then!

You're mad because now in iOS 6 you have to tap five times to get Google Maps? That's like 10 seconds of work!  tongue

The iPad Mini does not feature a retina display. It has the same screen resolution as the iPad 2, so it is slightly more pixel dense, but not retina.  tongue
