Terraria is a spin off of this game! Why do you think it came out first?
Terraria is actually much different from Minecraft in that it has events, lots more enemies, more RPG element and basically more complex. I like Minecraft because it focuses on survival more, and is 3D. But your opinion.

Satire is a form of humour where you mock current news in a sarcastic tone

It would be client driven.

Still super laggy rewriting the light value of all those blocks whenever it moves.
Plus if it's client driven it means someone can write a hack to light up caves etc.

The laginess would depend on a lot of things.
Also, it's just one item so it would not cause to much lag.

ANVILS!
Why do I have to choose?

I'm looking forward to frames... hideous dyed armor... carrots and potatoes... carrots on sticks... command blocks... basically everything. Flower pots, anvils, witches, bats, night vision potions, invisibility potions- I could go on forever

It'd have to extend the reach of the player to the torch's reach, weak spot for hacking, then it'd have to rewrite the light values of 100 blocks for a 10x10 AoE, also a weak spot for hacking and it'd have to constantly check where you're pointing and quickly rewrite, which is why Minecraft doesn't have any dynamic light sources in the first place, it's just too laggy.

Same!
I really like 1.4's new features, but I'm not looking forward to waiting for a Bukkit release, lol!
I think my favourite feature... is pig riding.

Wow, I LOVE the new update! I can't stand the way leather pants though xD The brown looks so ugly with a lot of colors I like the new leather tunic look though, and the boots and hats look pretty cool. And Cassiedragon, I think I'd have to agree- pig riding is epic xD I'm making a pig-riding stable in my server :3

I'm going to have to replace my inter-room waterway with a pig system. Now if only I could figure out how to make the pigs move... or I could just make spawn egg dispensers at every port and pistons that drop pigs into lava on the floor under them, and it would last me a while. Thanks, pigs! (boats are hard to steer in 3-wide water.

If I didn't have school I would make a flashlight mod and prove it to you that it wouldn't lag (at least not on my computer).

Leather armor was a letdown, I seriously don't see the point in ugly unpainted patches.
