I live in New Jersey, where said hurricane will be hitting around Monday, Tuesday.
The effects in the northeast are said to be similar to those of Irene, which means probable power outage for several days. Flooding wasn't too bad but I heard it was much worse in several areas closer to the coast (naturally).
The northeast seems to be heavily impacted by this storm, and I looked up the hurricane's projection. My findings are below. (Not hard, just google Hurricane Sandy )
