Sprite appearing on one background to a stage.

Please help.. I have got a bat on one background and I would like it to appear on the stage when clicked? How would you do this please?

switch to costume [background with bat v]

Thank you, that worked once, but I tried it again and now it doesn't? Do you have any ideas on whats going on?
