I guess

But wouldn't that cost money?
That we would have to borrow?

I didn't say it's dandy at all. Just that it's better than when he started  tongue . Quotes? And yeah, just when we finally get out of this deficit and fix the economy.

Oh.

Well obviously  tongue  I don't think it'd be wise to start a multi-billion dollar program with 16 trillion dollars of debt.

Yep. If it got that high, hopefully it'd keep an upward trend. Imagine it getting that high during the next presidency. And continuing at a steady rate.  yikes

I just saw a school political debate.

Despite the fact that my school is heavily Republican, the Democrats won in a blowout.

We're gonna do a mock election at my school. We even have to fill out voter IDs and everything.

Once again, jvvg, I didn't ask you. If I want you to respond I will specifically say jvvg. And obviously you are so desperate for Obama to win that you have to respond for Soupoftomato.
-Ending one of the wars (Iraq)-Okay
-Saving the auto industry-Yes, but no. He forced them into bankruptcy instead of letting them go through a traditional bankruptcy.
-Preventing the economy from totally collapsing-It is collapsed right now.
-Killing Osama Bin Laden and several other leaders of Al Quaeda-He didn't actually kill OBL. The Seal team did. He just told them to kill him.
-Expanding healthcare to a lot more Americans-I'm not very familiar with that.
-Reduce unemployment-He said in 2008 that at the end of his first term unemployment would be 5.5% or under. It's 7.9% right now.
...and a lot more but I'm too lazy to list the rest of it

I just looked at the community guidelines, and it doesn't say anywhere that I can't answer a question unless it was specifically aimed at me. I also had a good response, and am kind of impatient, and didn't have time to wait for soupoftomato to respond to it. I wish that this debate were more civilized, and I didn't get attacked for answering a question I had a perfectly valid answer to, even if it wasn't specifically aimed at me.

Anyway, my responses are below:
If they went into traditional bankruptcy, then they would have to lay off lots of workers, which is kind of a bad thing.
http://i.imgur.com/qGdBu.png
I didn't know that jobs going up meant collapse. I guess I need to buy a new dictionary.

For "not killing OBL": Well, if you think about it that way, he didn't make the ACA. Congress did.

Affordable Care Act increased health insurance coverage a bunch. Still looking for a chart of coverage. They're hard to find.

-Ending one of the wars (Iraq) woohoo
-Saving the auto industry link pleaseare you denying that the auto-industry bailout happened, or that it was effective? effectiveness
-Preventing the economy from totally collapsing the economy is totally collapsing, thank you ObamaThe economy has been recovering for a while now.  The question isn't whether the economy is recovering, but to what extent Obama's policies helped false. we are plummeting furthere into a deficit, and debt has far from stagnated
-Killing Osama Bin Laden and several other leaders of Al Quaeda Obama didn't really do anything. Agents found the location of Osama Bin Laden and all Obama had to do was say "yeah sure kill him." kind of a no-brainer, George Bush would have done it, Jimmy Carter would have done it, any president would have done it.Romney is quoted as saying "It's not worth moving heaven and Earth and spending billions of dollars just to catch one person".  Whether you believe the effort we put into catching Osama bin Laden was worth it, you cannot claim that anyone would have done it. So then Obama put forth an extreme amount of money to catch someone posing no apparent threat, and so this should not be on a list of positives
-Expanding healthcare to a lot more Americans there are a lot of negative effects coming with thatOf course; there were also plenty of positive effects too.  The overall effect is still debated. so if the overall effect is not that good, this should be taken off a list of positives
-Reduce unemployment link ??? (if one exists)here are the statistics for unemployment.  The unemployment now is equal to what it was when he assumed office.  Democrats argue that this shows a successful recovery from the recession of Bush (most people agree that Obama's policies had little chance to take effect the first year). i see that at Bush's era unemployment stayed around 5.0 but upon 2008 it increased steadily, then went down a little to 7.8, a 50% increase from 4 years ago (50%!)
...and a lot more but I'm too lazy to list the rest of it I'll bet
