Actually, they might not fit with the current minecraft sprites, but the 1.4 food sprites are a bit changed and fit more with these.

Not quite... they are similar because they have really light outlines, but otherwise, the style is different.

Nice ideas! But I honestly think that the current crafting recipes are better, because I try to make it not OP, as in, not something people would replace with going in and crafting bread. I just personally prefer it to not be easy to craft. @ApplePie: Already workin on it, and I'll work on it a bit more after some TF2!

@Plants: I try to involve the item recipes with regular aspects of minecraft, and have the majority of vanilla minecraft things in each recipe, thats why I chose dyes for flavourings.

1.4.1 version of the mod is coming out very soon, and with it I've added a new type of pie, and updated lots of the images (mainly ice creams).

My new crafting recipes were not to make it easier to make, it was to make more sense on what is used in it. Like for example, some of yours don't make sense: Liquorice is more than just sugar candy dyed black, like I said, what makes it liquorice is the fact that it has liquorice root in it. Toffee actually has no chocolate in it, like I said. Its just that some are inaccurate, and the mod will be overall better if it has slight realism in it, like minecraft itself.

I can make the item and texture for chocolate cake. I'll do apple pie too.
I've been working on the sprites... unfortunately, I got a bit carried away. I moved from 'touch-ups' to 're-doing'. My bad! tongue
I can upload them just for fun to see if you like them, but I know thats not what we agreed on, so I will do the touch-ups too. Alrighty?

Sorry, just found out I cant release the updated version of this mod until ModLoader for 1.4.2 comes out.

I don't understand why you don't want to use the chocolate cake as it is simply a chocolate version of the normal minecraft cake.
Now that I look at the apple pie I think the red could be redder, because it looks too similar to pumpkin pie.
The ice creams I don't like as much either, I still think they are better than yours (no offense... but the cone is bent tongue ) but they overall need work. I tried to make the cone resemble a bowl from minecraft.
I'm also working on jellos and peppermint :3

Why not turn the mod into an all around food mod?
Anyway, i might be able to do a mod review once i get fraps.
Haven't tried it yet, but i like wiimasters idea of a freezer block smile
Also, i don't recommend putting modloader into your mod because modloader is copyrighted software.

Yes, due to an information from the a Minecraft forum mod regarding ModLoader, I have already taken away ModLoader from the file. So thanks smile And @all around food mod: I prefer mainly focusing on candy, because no other mod has specifically candy, but I will add some other foods in the future, so thanks for the advice! smile

Perhaps instead of raw apple pie and cooked apple pie you could have Apple Pie Mix and Apple Pie. Apple Pie Mix cooks into Apple Pie when you furnace it.
