Importing image to scratch as background

I've tried to import a jpeg image (221Kb) from my Raspberry Pi desktop into 'Scratch' as a background image but with no success.  Any suggestions?
I have no problem doing it in Win XP.

Re: Importing image to scratch as background

Apologies for not posting to Bugs And Glitches.
No, I did not get any error messages. As I said I get no problem performing this task on a PC running Win XP. I am just intrigued as to why cannot achieve the same in Pi.
I would be interested to know if anyone else is having this problem of getting an image from the Pi desktop to form a background in Scratch.

Re: Importing image to scratch as background

Problem solved.
I have changed the image from jpeg to gif and it opens ok.

Re: Importing image to scratch as background

There are problems with the Scratch code on the RaspberryPi - a fix for the jpg loading is currently being tested.
The others to watch out for are Sound locking up, "sticky" keys and variable display eating all of your CPU power up.  There are current workarounds for all of these except the sound locking up.

Head over to http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=77 for more info
