Yes, but I didn't hear about this cool new mode where getting a decent amount of diamonds doesn't make you a cheater (in a world where you otherwise play legitimate survival).

@cozyhut: just get McNostalgia, backdate your game all the way to indev.

If you seriously want diamonds go mining, don't just expect them to be thrown at you. The fact that they're rare makes them good, emeralds were meant to be rare but I have enough to build a city out of due to villagers being easily abusable.

If you're complaining that you haven't got enough diamonds to make armour, 30 picks, 60 shovels and a diamond house, that's because it's a rare material.

Fortune just sprays you with diamonds, it's seriously annoying to see something that was like "OH MY GOD DIAMONDS!" to "Ugh, I don't want to clog up my inventory with useless diamonds" with one simple enchantment.

You know, if you want a ton of diamonds, all you have to do is dig at level 11-13 like PonyvilleSlugger said. They're not that hard to find, on my server I've already found at least 16. My friends probably have double that. My brother probably has quadruple that. xD

I took a picture of the properties of my reaction picture folder and went to post it, then felt like an idiot.

I have 259 and a folder called "bad troll faces" with 17 pictures, on my 30th birthday the ST will give me my well earnt stature of "Scratcher" and I'll be able to react to people's misadventures with pictures. Exciting.

Um...

Step 1: Get decent sword. Wood sword not advised.
Step 2: Find mob.
Step 2a optional: Find/make defensive structure
Step 3: Make sure there are no nearby skeletons.
Step 4: Get within arm's range of mob.
Step 5: Spam left click or whatever you have attack/break block set to.
Step 6: If mob gets close, run away, and repeat step 5.
Step 7: PROFIT!

Always keep moving when you're fighting. Circling is advised. Jump every once in a while to deal critical damage, and keep your pointer always on the mob. Also dealing knockback attacks (running at the mob) is helpful (but not really with skeletons tongue ).
