I use different music tracking software to track and play my music modules. I usually use OpenMPT 1.20 to make my songs with it. To find the tracker that best suits your computer and use of difficulty, I've compiled a list with a few links below.

Yes, mostly.
Lately I've been reading a lot about the demoscene, which is why trackers have come to my attention. I'm not really good with them though, lol. I'd much rather use a sheet or piano roll

Yeah! The first tracker was "The Ultimate Soundtracker" on Amiga. It was made by Karsten Obarski in 1987, And it was the first tracker to be used in the demoscene. Karsten Obarski used this software that he programmed to write the music for the game "Amegas".
